COMEDIAN Brendan O’Carroll continued what has become an annual tradition for the actor – visiting the kids of Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital in Crumlin.

The ‘Mrs Brown’s Boys’ star brought some festive cheer to the patients and their families today, as part of the Heinz Celebrity Ward Walk.
He was joined by a host of well-known faces, including Mary Byrne, Keith Barry, Rosanna Davison and ‘Love/Hate’ actor Laurence Kinlan.
BAFTA-winning O’Carroll, a father-of-three, has been visiting the Dublin hospital every December for the past 10 years.
The Florida-based actor, who was accompanied by his wife Jenny Gibney and co-star Rory Cowan, said meeting some of the families that spend months on end in the wards, makes him appreciate how lucky he is.
The event is staged to help raise funds for patient services.
Rising star Joanne Connolly took part in the carol sing-song session and wowed onlookers when she a stunning rendition of ‘O Holy Night’.
The Kilkenny native is currently waiting for a heart transplant and has been a resident at the hospital for the past three months.
“I want to be an opera singer, so to get to sing in front of everyone was amazing,” she told the Irish Independent.
