Chance the Rapper’s heartfelt campaign to help bring warmth to the city of Chicago’s homeless population has hit a laudable milestone: $100,000 in cumulative donations. It’s another victory for Bennett’s Warmest Winter initiative, which kicked off last December and made headlines on Christmas for raising $60,000 in just ten damn days.
Last month, Chance triumphantly stood on the Saturday Night Live stage and rap-sung, “They screaming Chano for mayor, I’m thinking maybe I should.” The playful bar continues to amass retrospective weight as we creep through the first few weeks of 2016.
Peep the announcement, which came by way of a tweet, below. The campaign will continue until January 13, so donate for a worthwhile cause if you have yet to. Visit WW’s website right here.
