Brad Paisley‘s home state of West Virginia has been hit hard by devastating floods this month, and yesterday, Brad turned to Facebook to try and help.

After performing an acoustic version of John Denver‘s classic “Country Roads” while wearing a West Virginia shirt, he announced he was launching a GoFundMe campaignthat will go directly toward aiding the victims of this awful disaster.

With the goal of a million dollars in mind, Brad is encouraging everyone to donate to this worthy cause. He made an initial donation of $100,000.

The June 23rd flooding killed more than 20 people and destroyed entire small towns.  Three counties have been declared federal disasters and 44 of the 55 counties have been declared in a state of emergency.
