All-In for All-Stars, Miami: A Night of Giving Back

Bobby Yampolsky, owner of East Coast Jewelry, along with local philanthropists and businessmen Wayne Boich, Mark Groussman, and Sean Posner hosted the first annual All-In for All-Stars event in support of the After-School All-Star’s South Florida chapter on February 7th. East Coast Jewelry and the new Baha Mar Casino & Hotel were the presenting sponsors who helped raise well over half a million dollars for the Arnold Schwarzenegger charity. As the chic crowd of well-adorned guests arrived at the Miami Beach home of Wayne and Cynthia Boich, they remarked on the spectacular waterfront jewel, recently designed by architect Kobi Karp and complimented by Raymond Jungles’ landscape design. After walking the red carpet and taking in the exquisite surroundings of the Boich property, guests were welcomed with live jazz-funk fusion musicians and designer cocktails. During the reception, guests were also treated to an astounding performance from Mio– the roaming mentalist magician. A photo booth from presenting sponsor Baha Mar Casino & Hotel brought out the guests’ playful side as they posed for the camera, leaving them with a memento of the incredible evening.

As the sun dipped below the water, guests mingled poolside and noshed on Nobu sushi and other Asian-inspired delicacies. Mixologists awed the partygoers with dexterous performances as they toasted their hosts with libations from Bacardi. After the poker game began, those not in the tournament were pampered by expert massage therapists from Anatomy 1220 and the cool sounds of DJ Crunch Time, who spun through the night.

After a sprinted first half of the tournament, poker players took a respite, allowing them an opportunity to admire the luxury watches that would serve as prizes at the end of the night for the top seven players. Brand ambassadors were on hand to explain the detailed craftsmanship that went into creating each unique timepiece. East Coast Jewelry was the driving force that brought in the ultra-high end time-pieces that were generously donated by their brand partners: HYT, Ulysse Nardin, Hublot, Audemars Piguet, Perrelet and SevenFriday.

“This event is a beautiful way for East Coast Jewelry to combine our passion for the beauty and craftsmanship of some of the most stunning timepieces out there and our desire to give back to our community,” said Bobby Yampolsky.

Actor and comedian Tom Arnold brought humor to the mic as he conducted an unforgettable and hilarious live auction that left the crowd in tears from laughing and immensely benefitted the charity, bringing in almost $200,000. Auction packages included a a Baha Mar High Rollers’ Experience at their stunning Lalique Villa, a LeBron James Experience, Miami HEAT courtside seats, a luxurious resort vacation to Amanyara in Turks & Caicos, a set of Sting HD diamond bracelets, five-star Inspirato vacations & a lifetime membership, a first-of-its kind Ulysse Nardin timepiece designed especially for the event, a Chayanne meet & greet, Ultimate Fighting Championship VIP tickets at the MGM Grand, front row tickets to Elton John with dinner at The Betsy South Beach, and an Arnold Schwarzenegger ultimate fan package—including a visit to his home in L.A., donated by the actor himself.

Before the poker players resumed the tournament, Fat Joe gave a surprise performance and a troupe of tribal drummers literally ended the break on a bang!

The night concluded with champagne, sparklers and pictures with the tournament winners, the hosts, Tom Arnold and the brand ambassadors.

Everyone was a winner as each player was treated to a goody bag worth over $5,000, including a three night vacation worth over $1500 at the Baha Mar Casino & Hotel opening its doors this spring and offering the most opulent and sophisticated casino in the world.

Supporters raised over $600,000 for After School All-Stars South Florida, which will provide after-school programs to over 600 local at-risk students for a full year, helping them to be successful in school and in life.

“I’m thrilled that the Miami community came out to support this important cause – and have a great time while giving back,” said host and ASAS National Board Member Mark Groussman. “We’re looking forward to doing it again next year.”
